Q Seminars provide you with an opportunity to converse with your instructor and peers, and to resolve questions about the course. Your instructor will provide specific guidelines to save you valuable time and effort, and to support your course success. You must either attend the live Seminar or complete the alternative assignment in order to earn points. Seminar topics and/or pre-work, if applicable, can be found in Course Resources. OPTION 1 - ATTEND SEMINAR Throughout your program, you will be asked to attend various Seminars. Seminars take place at designated times in specific units. Your instructor will give details about the Seminar during the first week of the course. Please review your Course Announcements and emails. If you are unable to attend the Seminar, you are required to watch the entire archived recording and complete the alternative assignment by the end of the unit in order to earn points. OPTION 2 - ALTERNATIVE ASSIGNMENT While viewing the entire recording of this week’s archived Seminar, create a summary document. Seminar slides should not be copied – this would be considered plagiarism. You should be able to view the recording and make notes at the same time so that you capture the following items: • Describe the main points discussed in the Seminar. • Include sub-topics and/or subsequent classroom discussion from the entire Seminar. • Include points found of interest about the unit content and/or any additional reflections or questions about the unit content. You may write the assignment in a bulleted list format or paragraph format. APA style is not required. Remember to review the grading rubric so that you include all of the required elements.

In this week’s seminar, we began with the discussion post for this week, which was based on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration act. Then we talked about this week’s assignment and then we began the topics of this week. The topics that we discussed were: Child Labor: • The concept of child labor law. • The affect of child labor law in the US that influenced the West African nations. • The role of International Labor Organization (ILO) Child labor raises a number of questions which we discussed, including the ethical questions. How should companies that are involved in such kinds of practices should be treated. And how should these companies be evaluated ethically.
